Internal Complaints Cell (ICC)

Internal complaint cell is a body to receive complains on sexual harassment at the work place from an aggrieved women. The internal complaint cell of Calcutta Girls' College has been established in 2015 according with provisions of  'The Sexual Harassment of Women  at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013'.

ICC is headed by a senior female faculty of the college. ICC meets on a need basis to address any complains from students, teaching and non-teaching members and takes necessary action. The college has a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment.

Objective of the ICC:

  1. To provide a safe environment that is free from sexual harassment.
  2. To organise women sensitization awareness program.
  3. To provide a safe environment that is free from sexual harassment.
  4. Prevention of discrimination and sexual harassment against women.

Role of ICC:

  1. To create and ensure a safe work environment that is free from sexual harassment especially for girls and women.
  2. To take note of complaints of sexual harassment of women to conduct enquiries and to provide assistance.
  3. To ensure all complaints will be dealt with confidentially.
  4. To maintain an atmosphere of equality and gender justice.
